If there was a kiss in the next episode it woild have been in this nextweeks promo. Why wouldn't they put the kiss in the promo, to excite the Jate fanbase? Why would they put the kiss in the promo for this weeks episode if it was for next week and then not show it for next week's promo?
I think its a waste of time to wait for the kiss.
Darlton has nothing to do with the promos ABC shows. If they cut out a kiss in the editting room for the final episode but ABC kept the kiss in because they are big Jack fans, that doesnt have any affilation to Darlton.
Because ABC are Jack fans so they think the mass audience are Jaters. They probably assumed it would spike the ratings but the kiss itself might have been cut from the episode. There have been scenes before that have made it to the promos but never feature in the episode, it's common for a lot of shows and networks. Darlton didn't hype up the kiss that much, ABC did, so I suppose it was not that important to the plotline for them.
What I mean is that, just because its in the promo doesnt mean its because Darlton had any handle on it. ABC makes their own promos so just because the kiss was in the promo doesnt mean it wasnt cut from the episode. I mean there were reports that people who saw the screener said there was a kiss in the episode, and yet the episode ran over two minutes and their was no kiss. How can we explain this?
the kiss was cut. the used another scene period, deal with it. and there was a screening,and the scene was in the version of The Little Prince that the media were able to see prior to Wednesday. We've got multiple sources from different places who have all commented on it.

It was in this episode because the context for the kiss was pretty clear,considering Jack was helping Kate about Aaron.She trusted him again so her desperation of losing the child and her gratitude could lead to a kiss.Now Kate is mad at Jack,she thinks he betrayed her.She thinks he used her problem with the lawyers to take her to Ben.Jack is with Ben,Ben used Jack too.For Kate Ben represents everything you shouldn't trust to.And Jack is trusting Ben to go back because Jack wants to go back:it's his priority.So using logic,there's no way Kate could kiss Jack now.
And since people already watched the episode before wednesday and said there was a kiss,I think it's a great proof to show it was cut.And cutting that moment means that was pointless,useless.
Sure that's my opinion about the possible context for the kiss,if there was a kiss.I do believe they cut it.
And you're free to not answer me,if you don't want to,but what will you think or how will you react if that kiss was really cut?

Thats MY opinon as to why the Jate kiss was cut, based on the fact that I think the pairing has no chemistry. Thats my subjective opinon, Im not going to change it
Personally, I think TPTB listened to the negative feedback, and realized this would be the case. It really would have vilified Kate. So the kiss was cut.
As to why that scene was the one cut? I can't say for sure, I don't have the privilege of being in the editing room when Damon & Carlton order the cuts. All I know is that the scene was in the screened version. The reviews and feedback were negative. And when the episode aired nationally, that scene was gone.

No Ila, questa era una discussione iniziata dopo TLP, perché per due settimane è stato mostrato il promo col bacio e secondo loro c'erano fonti attendibili che avevano visto l'episodio. Dato che il bacio non era andato in onda, hanno subito pensato che fosse stato tagliato.
Adesso non hanno il coraggio di fiatare, ci mancherebbe (spero, non ho avuto il piacere di verificare)
